Local lifters receive travel documents

A group of weightlifters were presented with their air tickets on Monday afternoon, enabling them to travel to Penang, Malaysia for the Commonwealth Championship.

In a small ceremony at the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga) headquarters at Stad Linite, Roche Caïman, the athletes were presented with their tickets by Socga president Antonio Gopal in the presence of Seychelles Weightlifting Association chairman Robert Rose.
 
The seven weightlifters chosen for the championship are Clementina Agricole, Romentha Larue, Ruby Malvina, Terence Dixie, Dereck Come, Rick Confiance and Ian Estro.

They will be accompanied by coaches William Dixie and Reginald Estro.

The delegation will leave Seychelles on the November 23 and the championship will run from November 24-30.
