Understanding your supernatural root in redemption |05 April 2014

What is redemption?
-    To redeem is to buy back with full price having been paid.
-    It also means to own back what was taken from you voluntarily or forcefully.
-    It is to save, to deliver from, to repossess.

You and me were separated from God our Father and Maker because of sin. Isaiah 59:1-2
The truth is that no matter what man does he cannot be reconnected to GOD by any other means without following God’s plan of salvation. Acts 3:36-41.  
The bible records that for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. This is God’s plan for salvation for mankind on the earth. That’s why those who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour receive power to be called the sons of God John 1:12.

God’s redemption (salvation) plan is only possible through Jesus Christ who died and rose again so that we can live again. To receive Jesus is to be born again John3:3-7. This is what we call the new birth.

What happens after new birth?
A.  New birth makes all things new - 2Cor 5:17
We recognise that by reason of your ‘New Birth’:  
•    Human life has been exchanged for eternal life – John 3:16
•    Natural life has been exchanged for supernatural life – John 3:8
•    Earthly life has been exchanged for heavenly life  – Phil 3:20
•    We are made to sit together with Christ in heavenly places far above principalities and powers      - Eph. 2:5-6/ 1:20-22
•    We are translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of His dear son the kingdom of light. – Col.1:13-14.
•    We no longer have to struggle with sin, because we are forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Jesus and given power to overcome and resist temptations. 1 John 2:12-18

B.   Empowered to manifest as a son of God – John 1:12
As a redeemed of the Lord:
•    You are guarded by angels – Heb. 1:14/ Ps.34:7/ Matt. 18:6
•    You are delivered from sickness and diseases – Is. 53:3-5/ Matt. 8:17
•    You are rescued from poverty – 2 Cor.8:9.
•    You now have the mind of Christ – 1 Cor.2:16
•    You are now an overcomer – 1John 5:4
•    You have inheritance with Christ Jesus. Acts 20:32.

C.  Your nature has changed
As a redeemed child of God
Recognise that by Redemption:
-    You are now a spirit being - John 3:5/8/ John 4:14
-    You are a sign to the world - Isa. 7:14-15/ Jn. 17:18/ Is. 8:18
-    You share divinity with God - John 10:35
-    You are a living stone, Jesus being the chief cornerstone - 1Pet. 2:4-5/ Matt. 21:44
-    It is our picture from the scriptures that define our actual future. - John 3:8

D.  What have been made in Christ Jesus
Recognise that you have been redeemed:
•    A king to reign on the earth, which sets you free from all forms of slavery
– Rev. 5:9-10/ 1Peter 2:9
•    An ambassador of Christ, which entitles you to divine immunity – 2Cor. 5:20
•    A citizen of Heaven, which empowers you to be above all – Phil. 3:20/ Col. 1:13/ John 3:31
•    A bride of the Lamb, which empowers you to share same dignity with Christ
– Rev. 19:6-9/ Eph. 5:2-22.
By these four discoveries you can obtain in Christ Jesus, you have a decision to make in order to be a partaker and be set for this new and better transforming life of God in you and your destiny. If you are not born again pray this prayer by faith for change of your life.

Lord Jesus thank you for dying for me on the cross. Thank you for paying the price for my sins. I believe you resurrected from the dead and now sit at the right hand of God the Father. I ask you to forgive me all my sins. I invite you into my life as my Lord and Saviour from today. I surrender my life to you. Thank you for saving me.
 
Now believe Jesus is living in your heart. You are forgiven and made righteous. Join a bible believing and teaching church to grow in salvation.
