Mont Buxton, however, took first place as they had a better points total of +18 compared to +13 for Tryers.
Third place went to Joseph Charles and Julien Ernest of Takamaka who had 4 points.
In the women's competition it was again the team from Mont Buxton who came out in first place. The team of Sheila Chang-Time and Sheena Mangroo finished with 4 points, and were followed by Marie-May Savy and Vivianne Finesse of Beau Vallon with 2 points. A second Beau Vallon team consisting of Laura and Lucy Joubert finished in third position without a point.
The next competition on the petanque calendar is the doublette league competition which will kick off on Sunday May 11 at 10am at the La Promenade Boulodrome.
