President Michel condemns terrorism and stands with Kenyan people after bomb blasts |08 May 2014
In the wake of the deadly bomb blasts in the cities of Mombasa and Nairobi in Kenya, claiming many innocent lives, President James Michel, on behalf of the people and government of Seychelles, has extended friendship and offered prayers to the families of the victims and to the Kenyan people.
In a message addressed to His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya, President Michel affirmed that the targeting of innocent civilians as a line of attack for a cause is unacceptable and “the government of Seychelles condemns in the strongest terms these atrocious attacks of violence”.
President Michel reaffirmed Seychelles’ commitment in continuing to call for international efforts to crackdown on terrorism in the hope of building a secure and prosperous Africa.
