Camilla Estico is Seychelles’ new beauty queen

Camilla Estico has been crowned Miss Seychelles ... Another World 2014.
It was outgoing Miss Seychelles … Another World 2013 Agnes Gerry who presented 23-year-old Estico with her crown during the glamorous ceremony hosted by the new Savoy Resort and Spa at Beau Vallon.

Camilla Estico emerged with three prizes altogether. On top of the prestigious title, she is also Miss Talent and Miss Photogenic.
The First Princess title went to Lisa Rose while Marvel Godley was the Second Princess.

The members of the jury comprised the former President of the Republic of Seychelles James Mancham as chief judge; Christoph G. Ganster, general manager Raffles Hotel Praslin; Dr Erna Athanasius, former health minister and current Ambassador for Women and Children; Marco Francis, chairman of the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Branka Arapovic, director of Spa at Savoy Resort and Spa; Lynn Rangasamy, who was Miss Seychelles 1976 (the year of Seychelles Independence) and who is today an executive manager with Nouvobanq; and last but not least Karel Losenicky, a professional photographer.

The event centred around the hotel’s large swimming pool where the 12 contestants had to parade in casual wear, swimwear and finally in evening wear.
After the parade, the six finalists proceeded to answer questions from the judges.

Besides the main titles there were also a host of other prizes such as Best Evening Gown, which went to Michealla Rosette, who was also celebrating her birthday that day; Miss Sport title which went to Raphaela Dugasse; and a prize for Best effort for project received by Elmina Savy.

The Miss Personality title went to Stephanie Duval while Ronda Sidonie took home the People’s Choice Award.
