Understanding salvation: Salvation is saving, rescuing something or someone from destruction. To save is to deliver from danger, loss, perishing. |21 June 2014

Jesus Christ came on Earth to deliver man from the destructions of sins and to deliver him from the oppressions of the devil. Man had lost eternal life and relationship with God due to sin but Jesus came and paid the price for sin and man now has chance to freedom and relation with God freely. Those who believe in Him can’t perish but have eternal life. John 3:16-21.

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19  And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20  For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Sin makes people behave wickedly and therefore provokes God to anger against them. This leads to destruction. But when you get born again you live a good life and do good things which please God and so you secure God’s blessings. You will discover that people who walk with God lives a life of fulfillment and satisfaction as the bible says in Psalms 91:15-16

15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.  16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Friends and people of the world, you have suffered enough without salvation in Jesus, why not receive him and He will give a better life. It’s all your choice. You have served other gods/things enough it’s time to return to God and you  shall be saved. In Deuteronomy 30:17-20

17 But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, 20 loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

God loves you and He is love to you, He is giving you the chance to change your life and destiny as you read this article. It may be your last chance so don’t waste it. Jesus is waiting for your response now. No matter how worse your situation is He is ready to change your life. Isaiah 1:18-20.

18 “Come now, let us reason3  together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.  19  If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;  20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword;  for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

When you get born again you receive a new life, you become anew creation, old things go, and you become new. You become the righteousness of God. 2Cor. 5:17-20;

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.2  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling3  the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Who is to be saved?

Everybody and any body who believes! Including you if you are not born again don’t put away this paper before you confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour of your life. And if you are backslidden be restored to God by praying the prayer at the end of this article.

When and where do you get born again?

Now and here where you are. What you need is a believing heart and a mouth to confess that Jesus is lord. Romans 10: 8-9

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

If you are not born again or you are not sure, or you are backslidden, you need to turn to Jesus for salvation of your life: spirit, soul, and body so as to live a life of freedom and dignity. Pray this prayer with the whole of your heart,

Lord Jesus thank you for dying for me on the cross. Thank you for paying the price for my sins. I believe you resurrected from the dead and now sit at the right hand of God the Father. I ask you to forgive me all my sins. I invite you into my life as my Lord and Saviour from today. I surrender my life to you. Thank you for saving me.

Now believe Jesus is living in your heart. You are forgiven and made righteous. Join a bible believing and teaching church to grow in salvation.
