Cycling - Alphonse wins, Arissol stretches overall lead |16 September 2014

Peter Alphonse is the winner of the Life Cycle-sponsored 84.5km road race held last Saturday.
The race started and finished at Anse Boileau and took its toll of the cyclist as they had to pedal for almost three hours.
At the finish line, it was Life Cycle’s Peter Alphonse who finished first in a time of 2 hours 40 minutes 53 seconds (2h40:53), beating teammate Ahmad Arissol to the finish line on a sprint. Arissol was credited with the same time.
Francis Louis of Eco Riders took third position on the podium as he stopped the clock at 2h43:02.
Life Cycle were the best team of the day, ending with a combined time of 8h17:32, with Classic Design finishing second with 8h40:21.
Arissol now has an 84-point cushion at the top of the overall standings as he brought his total to 832 points. Fadi Confiance is in second place with 748 points, followed by Peter Alphonse on 721.
