Sacos-sponsored school swimming championship - Passon breaks two national records |28 October 2014

Two new national records were set by Felicity Passon during the 32nd Sacos-sponsored school swimming championship which was held recently at the national swimming pool, Roche Caïman.

Passon managed to erase two national records in the 14-15 years old female 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke. Both records were her own. In the 50m freestyle Passon set the new time of 27.50 seconds to erase her previous record of 28.20 seconds set during the heats earlier this year. She also managed to erase her time of 32.74 seconds in 50m backstroke with a new time of 32.48 seconds.

The International School Seychelles and Independent School were dominant in the championship where between them they raked up wins in the different categories.

International School managed to win six of the 10 categories – girls 7-9 years, girls 12-13 years, girls and boys 14-15 years and girls and boys 16 years and above.

The Independent school won the other four shields – boys 7-9 years, girls and boys 10-11 years and boys 12-13 years.
