Fitness - Ameer Afif wins Mr Fitness competition |23 December 2014
The Tropical Heat Fitness Gym organised its first Mr Fitness competition last weekend and Ameer Afif finished as the winner.
Eighteen-year-old Afif was one of six young competitors who took the stage on Friday night to show off their muscles, although this event was not the typical contest of comparing who has the biggest muscles.
The competition is reserved for the less bulked-up athletes who train only to be ripped rather than to put on body mass, which is what bodybuilders do.
By the end of the competition, it was Afif who impressed the judges most and therefore he was named the winner of the competition. In second place was 20-year-old University of Seychelles student Ryan Pierre, while Beau Vallon resident Rennick Charlette (25 years old) came out third.
The winners received cash prizes, supplement and free membership to the Tropical Heat Fitness Gym.
The competition is expected to be held on a bigger stage next year where athletes from other gyms across the country will be invited to compete.
