Second phase of infrastructural work to start end January
Construction of the access road and bridges from Anse Aux Pins to Ile Soleil will start by the end of January 2015, the 2020 Development (Seychelles) Ltd (also known as 2020DC) has announced.
United Concrete Products Seychelles Ltd (UCPS) has been awarded the contract for the works and engineering consultants, GIBB (Seychelles), will be supervising the works for and on behalf of 2020DC.
As a result of these works, fishermen operating in this area are being called for a meeting on Saturday January 24 where they will be informed of temporary arrangements and diversions during the construction period.
The meeting, which is being arranged by the district administration of Anse Aux Pins, will be held at 11am at the Anse Aux Pins market.
This is the second phase of the infrastructural works for the Ile Soleil development. The first phase of the works, which is well under way, involves the installation of water, electricity, sewerage, roads, pavements, drains, street lights and telecommunication network on the island.
Work on the access road and bridges are expected to take 12 months to complete.
During this time members of the public are requested to respect any directives given by the contractor to ensure that the work is carried out with minimum delays and utmost safety of the public.
