Appointment of special advisiror - Bertrand Belle appointed special advisor to the Vice-President |18 August 2015
Bertrand Belle has been appointed as a special advisor to the Vice-President, the Office of the President has announced.
Mr Belle completed a Master's degree in Public Administration in International Development at Harvard University earlier this year. His studies had been funded through a scholarship granted by Harvard University.
He also holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester.
Prior to proceeding on his studies in 2013, Mr Belle had served as principal secretary for Economic Planning in the Ministry of Finance and Trade.
His new appointment will enhance the policy development capacity of the Office of the President, particularly in addressing the emerging challenges in the interplay between economic and social development.
Mr Belle will also be able to provide special help in long-term planning and project development across the public sector.
