Airtel Seychelles enhances coverage following network upgrade |12 October 2015

Airtel Seychelles has announced the completion of  one phase of its network upgrade on the three main islands of the Seychelles. 

The exercise involved a comprehensive change of hardware and expansion of radio network elements. 

This has now significantly enhanced network signals and improved voice quality for Airtel customers especially in areas such as Au Cap, Copolia, Anse Louis  on Mahé, Consolation on Praslin and Citadel on La Digue.    

This upgrade exercise will enhanceAirtel’s footprint in terms of  voice and data coverage.

Airtel Seychelles managing director, Amadou Dina, has said that the company remains committed to ensuring that customers are connected to the most reliable and best quality network in the market.

“We are confident that the upgrade will increase our network capacity, improve voice quality and data speeds. This will help us to continue enriching our customers’ internet and voice experience across the country,” added Mr Dina.             

The company has embarked on a rollout of new sites in other areas during this fiscal year, which will help in ensuring that customers remain connected to a stronger network.

Airtel Seychelles will continue with the upgrade exercise in other areas of the country allowing customers to enjoy better network quality and data experience.
