Magic Circus of Samoa thrills again |20 February 2016

The Magic Circus of Samoa, on its second tour in Seychelles, yesterday filled the Freedom Square of Victoria with cheer, excitement and expressions of awe as it brought dazzling performances to the people of Seychelles on its opening night.

The circus is on an Indian Ocean tour and Seychelles is its first stop. It will provide daily performances until March 21.

Besides some acrobats and clowns who were there during the previous visit, The Magic Circus of Samoa has brought along new faces and new performances that kept the audience spellbound throughout.

A mesmerising performance by a group from Manipur, India who are here for the first time, left the audience awe-struck with their amazing stunts.

Tupa’i Bruno Loyale, the ringmaster of the circus, kept the spectators abreast of who are performing and from which country they come from.

In a short address for the occasion, the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St Ange said considering the size of Seychelles with a mere population of  90,000, Seychellois appreciate for the second time the visit of the Magic Circus of Samoa.

He expressed the wish that the circus will again include Seychelles next time it is on another Indian Ocean tour.

Mr Loyale also thanked local sponsors Cable & Wireless and Air Seychelles, to name some, to help the circus during its time here.

The accompanying photographs taken by our photographer Louis Toussaint show some highlights of the performances during the circus’ opening night yesterday.
