Mont Buxton youths receive donation |25 February 2016

Bravo Restaurant has donated a cheque worth R18,900 to Friends of Mont Buxton to be used for sports activities for the district’s youths. The restaurant’s manager Daniel Simeon handed over the cheque to Jude Commettant, chairman of Friends of Mont Buxton in a small ceremony at the headquarters of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Community Development and Sports on Tuesday evening.

Present was the minister responsible for this ministry Vincent Meriton and other members of Friends of Mont Buxton.

On presenting the donation, Mr Simeon said that Bravo management was very happy to be associated with helping the youths and that it was reacting on the positive calls by President James Michel on businesses or individuals to give a helping hand in the community.

Minister Meriton commended Bravo management through Mr Simeon for coming forward once again to help the community and this time via a voluntary non-governmental organisation for its sports activities for the youths.

He said that sports is among other tools that bring people together and also bring along other good values that need to be seen flourish in the districts.

He thanked Bravo for being a partner in this noble cause.

On his part, Jude Commettant thanked Mr Simeon for the generous donation and he assured him that it will be put to good use.

He also noted that sports helps in bringing the community together and also helps in fighting social ills.

He said he hoped to see a continued good working relationship between Bravo and the Friends of Mont Buxton.
