Judokas in Budapest for training camp |08 July 2016

Three judokas including Olympian Dominic Dugasse are currently in Budapest, Hungary, in a training camp for one month in preparation for various competitions.
Dugasse is preparing for next month’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he will compete in the -100kg category.
He is currently ranked at 141st in the world and will be hoping to put on a good show at the games in order to propel himself further up the rankings and hopefully break into the top-100 of the -100kg weight class.
The Praslinois claimed his qualification after taking part in a number of tournaments leading up to the games, thus garnering the required number of points to gain his place in Rio.
Dugasse’s most recent international tournament was the African Open Championship which was held in
Casablanca, Morocco, where he lost out to eventual finalist, Italian Domenico Di Guida, at the semifinal stage in his group.
This will be Dugasse’s second Olympic Games after his first appearance in the 2012 London Games, where he lost in the first round in the -100kg category.
The other judokas who have joined Dugasse in the Hungarian capital are Nanteniana Finesse and Brigitte Rose.
Finesse is preparing for the African Junior Championship that will be held in Morocco from July 21-23, while Rose, who is ranked 59th in the women’s -78kg worldwide, is putting the final touches to her preparation ahead of the Senior African Championship.
Calix Cesar is accompanying the judokas in Budapest and he will then travel with Dugasse to Rio for the Olympic Games.
