Local beauty Stephanie Duval to attend ‘Miss Universal Petite’ pageant |12 July 2016
Mont Fleuri resident Stephanie Duval will be leaving Seychelles for Tampa Bay, USA this Saturday to take part in the highly anticipated ‘Miss Universal Petite’ pageant.
Listed as ‘Miss Seychelles Petite’, Stephanie has been preparing for the grand occasion since October 2015 where she was selected as one of the 30 finalists in Bella Petite Magazine’s worldwide petite cover model search.
Hazely Corporation’s ‘Universal Petite Pageant’ is designated for ladies 5’6 feet (167.5cm) or less. Their focus is to appreciate the beauty within petite women by offering them opportunities and special recognitions upon their involvement.
The 2016 Universal Petite Pageant will be held from July 18-23, 2016 and visiting Grand Cayman and Cozumel on the Paradise Carnaval Cruise liner!
The areas of competition include judge’s interview, swimsuit, evening gown, and on-stage question.
The Universal Petite winner is described as a poised, graceful and elegant lady who understands that her height is no limitation to fulfilling her dreams and being a role model to everyone…
In their 2013, 2014 and 2015 Universal Petite pageants, contestants were part of a series of events. These events included personal photo shoots, visit to Playa Azul, Cozumel-Mexico, Nassau, special VIP treatment in the private cabanas, Private Island Coco Cay, VIP tour to the Butterfly Conservatory of Key West, and more amazing events.
Miss Regatta 2007, Stephanie was voted Miss Personality of the Miss Seychelles … Another World 2014 pageant. She was the head judge for the Miss Regatta 2015 and judge of the 2008 and 2014 pageants.
The young lady also attended the 52nd Youth Session of the International Olympic Academy in 2012 in Athens, Greece and the 21st Youth Leadership Programme’s International Sport & Social Impact Summit in Florida USA, United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) in June 2016.
A top 30 finalist of worldwide petite cover model 2015, Stephanie is an active member of the National Olympic Academy of Seychelles. She teaches young kids the values of sports and encourages them to take part in physical activities. She is also an executive member of the Seychelles Woman and Sports Association.
Stephanie is currently enrolled with the University of London where she is studying online for a BSc in International Development.
