Letter to the Editor - Too much noise pollution |01 September 2016
I write regarding environmental laws.
There has been an explosion of music coming from hi-fi systems in the Parson Housing Estate during the weekends. Residents start playing music as early as 6.30am until late in the evening.
The police have intervened on many occasions, but no serious action has yet been taken against the culprits.
Families receiving social assistance are the ones buying hi-fi music systems to disturb other residents in the neighbourbood. There are old aged people, babies and other people who need to rest after and before work.
I totally support such a law and enforcement regulations in order to reduce noise pollution in housing estates as people should abide by these regulations or else face serious actions.
Thank you
