Five represent Seychelles in African Junior Championship |06 May 2017

A team of five judokas are representing Seychelles at the African Junior Championship which is taking place in Cairo, Egypt.

The competition, which began yesterday, sees the involvement of 10 nations with Seychelles joining Madagascar, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Senegal, South Africa and Zambia at the three-day tournament.

Jessy Malbrook (-78kg), the only female judoka in the group, is joined by Jean-Michel Vidot (-60kg), Dominique César (-66kg), Nanteniana Finesse (-90kg) and Alvin Marie (-81kg) who were all on an intensive training camp in Budapest, but have travelled to Egypt for the tournament.

The five athletes are accompanied by coach Calix César.
