New DVD to promote gospel songs in Seychelles |08 August 2017

Seychelles’s first gospel DVD entitled ‘Gospel concert in Seychelles’ was released last Friday in a ceremony held at the International Conference Centre (ICCS).
Galen Bresson, the chief executive of the Creative Industries & National Events Agency (Cinea) officially launched the video in the presence of members of Everlasting Love Ministry (ELM); the principal secretary for youth and sports Fabien Palmyre; pastors and two of Seychelles’ gospel music icons, Jones Camille and Jean Ally.
The DVD is the brainchild of the Everlasting Love Ministry (ELM) and is a compilation of all three concerts organised by ELM since last year.
Singers such as Jean Ally, Jones Camille, King, Nickson Farabeau, Debra Jeannevole, Shayenne Ernesta, Kelly Stravens, Christopher Philoe, Robert Moumou, Wallace Stravence, Barbra and Mary Moncherry all make an appearance in the DVD.
Jude Fred, the chairperson of ELM, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to each and every ELM members who worked tirelessly on this project.
He also thanked key partners such as the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC), Cable & Wireless and various other organisations, without which the concerts and the subsequent DVD would not have seen the light of day.
“These DVD sets are living proof that we did not just throw concerts and make money like some people have been saying. It shows how we have worked with all sincerity, will all our hearts and this is the result of our hard work,” Mr Fred stated.
“This is only the beginning. We are still at the battlefield and we have won some battles but the war is not yet won,” he said as he referred to ELM’s mission of mitigating social ills in society through the word of God.
Those in attendance were given a sneak peek of the videos during the ceremony. The event concluded with the presentation of the DVD sets to key partners and collaborators.
The aim of the ‘Gospel Concert in Seychelles’ DVD is to promote gospel songs in Seychelles and even promote these songs on an international platform.
“The unique feature of this DVD is the beautiful pictures taken by Kevin Renaud which will show off the beauty of Seychelles to an international audience,” Mr Fred added.
The DVD which costs R200 will be available in all the usual shops or directly from ELM on 2781603.
The ELM is an non-governmental organisation launched in 2010 and since then has organised several successful ventures such as the ‘Bring It On’ gospel talent show and various gospel concerts.
