Michel Felix is new CAA chairman |04 October 2017

Michel Finley Sadi Felix has been named chairman of the Constitutional Appointments Authority (CAA) by the other four members of the authority, who met on September 29 for the purpose.

This followed the resignation on September 19 of the former chairman, Dr Shelton Jolicoeur.

In a letter addressed to President Danny Faure, the four members said they had unanimously agreed to the appointment of Mr Felix as the fifth member and chairperson of the authority.

In accordance with Article 140(1)(b) of the Constitution, the appointment of Mr Michel Felix as chairperson for a period of seven years took effect on September 29, 2017.
