Beach soccer cup - Club Stormy, Real Maldives reach final |16 November 2017

Club Stormy and Real Maldives are in the final of the beach soccer cup competition.

The final is slated for Saturday November 25, starting at 6pm at the Cable & Wireless Arena, Roche Caïman.

In last Saturday’s semifinals at the Cable & Wireless Arena, Real Maldives beat Beach Boyz 10-5 and Club Stormy dispatched Sunrise on a 7-4 score.

The November 25 final will be Club Stormy’s second this year after they lost the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) beach soccer knockout decider on a 4-5 score against One Stone.

“We are determined to get a win and finish the season on a good note,” Club Stormy’s Sandy Luc told Sports NATION.

As for Real Maldives coach Don Anacoura, he said his team will be going all out for a win to lift their first piece of silverware this term.

“We beat Club Stormy twice this year, but we know the final will be a different game. A win will be good to boost the morale in the camp as we hope to have a better season next year,” former Seychelles captain and midfielder Anacoura told Sports NATION.

Losing semifinalists Beach Boyz and Sunrise will match up at 4.30pm in the third place play-off encounter on Saturday November 25 at the Cable & Wireless Arena.

Club Stormy were ranked third in the league this year behind champions One Stone and runners-up Real Maldives. One Stone also won the Curtain-raiser tournament.
