Moïse, Labiche record breakers

Iven Moïse and Simon Labiche rewrote the record books during Saturday’s MEJ-sponsored Eco-friendly run.

Fresh from winning a half-marathonrace held in South Korea in a time of 1 hour 11 minutes 29 seconds (1h11:29), Moïse showed that he can not only win races but also improve records.

On Saturday, he took part in the 10km race and won it in a new championship record time of 32 minutes 29 seconds (32:29). The previous best time of 35:06 belonged to Roy Mougal and he had held it since 2008.

Simon Labiche pulverised the half marathon masters record by clocking 1h27:00 to remove Herbert Adrienne’s old best of 1h29:41 set in 2009 from the record books.
