Cable and Wireless Seychelles launches new music video chart |05 April 2018
‘Mizikkalite’ is a new music video chart launched recently by Cable and Wireless (CWS) on Cable Tunes TV (channel 99) in High Definition.
This new weekly and local music video chart show launched last Friday will allow viewers to vote via SMS to the number 9686 for their favourite video and free of charge. The show will be hosted by popular local singer Ras Ricky.
This newly innovated initiative by CWS will bring a more dynamic and creative idea to showcase our local singers’ talent, and provide them with a much needed platform for their music video.
‘Mizikkalite’ will have ten videos per show, with viewers voting to confirm the position of each clip every week with the lowest two voted clips being replaced.
The managing, marketing communication and public relations Arthur Lo Pinto stated that all music videos will be 100 per cent clean, with no violence and sexual content.
“It takes a lot of commitment to come up with a creative idea for our wide audiences; we hope that Mizikkalite will inspire more artists to come up with original ideas for their video shows. We are currently going through a period of evolution, meaning more local content such as cultural, interviews, video charts among others that will be available soon. Our dream is to be the MTV of Seychelles, we have the ideas and we are surrounded by people with wonderful production ideas,” he said.
The show will be repeated every week on Saturdays and Mondays at 10.00pm, Tuesdays at 10.30pm, Wednesdays at 11.00pm and Thursdays at 11:30pm, to give the chance for viewers to see all the videos and vote accordingly.
It also good to point out that the most watched channel on CWS TV is Télésesel, with 800 live audiences watching the channel everyday.
