The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) is replacing her with Marsha Parcou, who now heads the Pretoria and Johannesburg office in South Africa.

Ms Lane arrived at the STB with over 25 years’ experience in the industry, having worked in Seychelles-based destination management companies, hotels and other tourism-related services.

In her two years at the head of the UK office, she has been able – with the help of her all-Seychellois team – to review the traditional UK and Scandinavian markets and increase arrival numbers when compared to previous years.

At the last Seychelles marketing meeting for its managers, Ms Lane said she was happy to report a positive and consistent growth in both her markets.

Ms Parcou comes to the UK office with a wealth of experience, having previously been the marketing executive at head office responsible for the UK and Scandinavian accounts. She was also one of the first recruits from the Seychelles Young Leaders Programme.

STB chief executive Alain St Ange and European director Bernadette Willemin have both been in the UK this week to hold staff meetings and to prepare for a smooth handover at the tourist office in London.
