Minister Lionnet in Question Time |09 June 2015
The Minister for Land Use and Housing, Christian Lionnet, will be in the National Assembly today to answer questions related to his ministry.
He will address the following concerns: expected timeframe for home-owners from Vilaz Lespwar, Union Vale and English River, having paid off their loans, to receive their property deeds;
government policy regarding minimum waiting time for housing allocation; plans to assist the nine families residing in the lower Ma Joie bedsitters in purchasing their homes; negotiations
concerning the Société du logement property at Pascal Village; criteria used in allocating houses to tenants having made their 10% contribution under the Housing Scheme and encouraging investment
in communities through Corporate Social Responsibility.
Additionally, two motions have been tabled for this sitting: the leader of government business, Marie-Antoinette Rose, will call on the House to ratify the Doha Amendment to the Kyoto Protocol ,
while, proportionately elected representative Sylvianne Valmont will call on the House to support the transformation of the SADC Parliamentary Forum into a regional parliament.
