Volleyball: National League - Breakaway consolidate first place in women’s division two |09 May 2017

 

 

 

 

Women’s second division side Breakaway won their two matches this weekend against Port Glaud and St Francis Sisters to consolidate first position on the table.

Ton Neo have also consolidated first place on the men’s division two table, while Swim Blue Pals stay top in the men’s division one.

On Friday afternoon at the Palais des Sports, Breakaway beat Port Glaud 3-0 (25-17, 25-29, 25-22) and they easily won their second match against St Francis Sisters on a 3-0 (25-20, 25-6, 25-8) score.

In other women’s second division games, La Digue Warriors twice came from behind to beat St Louis Bombers after five sets ‒16-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-20, 15-9 ‒ and Juniors lost 0-3 (18-25, 20-25, 18-25) to Anse Aux Pins.

The match on La Digue between Praslin Girls and La Digue Island Stars did not take place and has been rescheduled for another date.

In the women’s first, Friends beat Ephelia 3-1 (25-7, 25-21, 21-25 26-24) and Cascade defeated the same Ephelia team 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-21).

In the men’s second division, Ton Neo beat St Louis 3-0 (25-16, 25-29, 25-17) and Outsiders defeated Ephelia 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-17). The match between Airwaves and Neo Boys Juniors was postponed and will be played later.

Men’s first division leaders Swim Blue Pals collected yet another win as they beat Arsu Boys 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 25-11).
