Basketball Roy Noël heads coaches’ commission |20 August 2018

Beau Vallon Heat coach Roy Noël is now the new head of the coaches’ commission within the Seychelles Basketball Federation (SBF), following his election on Saturday, during a special meeting held at the National Sports Training Centre at Stad Popiler.

He replaces Lennon Shurman, while MBU Rockers coach Alvin Alcindor is the committee’s new secretary.

The other members are Michel Malbrook, Lina Lestrange, Dominic Pillay, Jerry Andrew and Paul Denis.

Following his election into the post, coach Noël said his main target is to turn basketball into bridge for development, instead of a wall.

He added that he is open to criticism, as it can be turned into something constructive.

Coach Noël also added that he is glad to be part of the basketball family and to share his knowledge, while his dream is to see 3x3 basketball flourishes in the country.
