Kenyan female national remanded for importation of 255g of suspected cocaine |07 August 2019
The Magistrate Court remanded a 46-year-old female Kenyan national, owner of a hairdressing salon, for 12 days on Monday this week.
The woman is being remanded for the offence of importation of a controlled drug, approximately 255 grammes of what is suspected to be cocaine which was found in her possession before being arrested.
She was searched and arrested at the Seychelles International Airport on Sunday August 4, 2019 by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) of the Seychelles Police Force in collaboration with immigration and customs officers.
The arrest happened right after her arrival from Nairobi via Addis Ababa onboard an Ethiopian Airline flight to Seychelles.
She will reappear before the court on August 16, 2019.
