Café 74 – ‘A café with a difference’ |20 April 2022

Café Seventy Faure (74) is the new place to visit in the district of Anse Royale. It is open for business from 7am until 6pm Monday to Friday and from 7am until 2pm on Saturdays.

Situated in the Arc Royale building opposite the University of Seychelles in the heart of Anse Royale, Café 74 offers a selection of freshly baked crepes and waffles, cakes, continental breakfast, English breakfast and La Parisienne breakfast combos plus other bites.

You can also enjoy some freshly ground coffee and a wide selection of tea and other homemade fresh juices.

Café 74 is the baby of Shermin Faure.

"It has always been my dream to have a café. Growing up in Europe I have visited several cafés and I said one day I would want to have one for myself in Seychelles. I have considered it as a place where people can come and socialise over a cup of tea or coffee. You also can have a quiet place to read your book, take time to reflect and I said to myself this is what I would work to have one day," says Mrs Faure.

But putting up this project has not been easy.

"I have encountered several hurdles along the way. But I am lucky to be surrounded by a good team. There are always challenges but my main focus was on getting my café ready for opening," says Mrs Faure.

We wish good luck to the new entrepreneur and her team.
