Transport minister congratulates Emma Ah-Shung on her noteworthy academic achievement |21 April 2022

Emma Ah-Shung, a policy analyst who joined the Ministry of Transport in February this year, recently completed her studies with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation and graduated with a BA (Hons) First Class Honours in International Relations.
For this noteworthy academic achievement, Minister Antony Derjacques took time out of his busy schedule to personally congratulate Ms Ah-Shung and express his joy by saying “the ministry is proud of your achievements and wishes to extend this small token of appreciation to you. You made the ministry proud and we look forward to see more of your achievements with us.”
During the graduation ceremony held virtually on April 9, Ms Ah-Shung was also awarded with an outstanding achievement award – the Best Student Award.
Ms Ah-Shung is working in the policy planning, research, monitoring and evaluation unit in the minister’s secretariat.
Minister Derjacques said the ministry feels very privileged to have taken Ms Ah-Shung on its team of professionals before presenting her with a small token in the presence of the principal secretary for civil aviation, ports and marine Alan Renaud, the legal advisor for the ministry Estelle Lucas, and the director of policy for the ministry Magalie Essack.
Mrs Essack also expressed her happiness towards Ms Ah-Shung achievements. “They say you can spot a talent when you see one. This is what I saw in Emma when she came for her interview. I am happy for her achievements, she has already shown what she can produce in the short period of time. We are delighted to have Emma on the team and we look forward to see what she will be contributing to the ministry.”
