Auditor General presents report on Covid-19 Relief Fund Account to Speaker Mancienne   |22 September 2022

Auditor General Gamini Herath presented a copy of the audit report of the Covid-19 Relief Fund Account to National Assembly Speaker, Hon. Roger Mancienne, on Tuesday at the parliament.

Mr Herath expressed that the report falls in line with his office’s mandate in assessing whether government undertakings, programmes and expenditures are operating in accordance with the principle of economic efficiency and effectiveness.

He outlined the importance of making the reports available to the National Assembly, which in turn will be beneficial to the whole population.

Speaker Mancienne thanked Mr Herath for the continuous effort and tremendous work carried out in ensuring informative, transparent and effective reports are available and look forward to other future reports from the Auditor General’s Office.
