B Challenge defeat HotShots to take series lead

Bel Air-based B Challenge have taken an important step in booking a place in final of the women’s play-offs, following their 56-32 victory against HotShots in the first match of the second series last night at Victoria Gymnasium.

B Challenge started the match more committed, despite getting some slight resistance from HotShots, winning the first quarter 10-8, before clinching the second 12-8 to lead 22-16 at half-time.

Spotting the opponents’ weaknesses, B Challenge stepped up their game in the third quarter which they won 17-7 to extend their lead to 39-23.

The Bel Air side increased the pressure on their opponents in the fourth and final quarter, winning it 17-9 and the match 56-32.

Guyra Boniface was B Challenge’s top scorer with 17 points, while Tina Agathine led the scoring for HotShots with 15 points.
