Next Step seeking support towards voluntary works

Members of the Next Step group in action at the St Elizabeth Convent

The Next Step voluntary group is calling out to individuals and organisations as members hope to raise a sum of R750,000, towards voluntary and charity projects throughout this year.

Leader of the group Sonny Dogley has stated that the group seeks to become more active throughout the year, and to do more for the families and communities which they reach out to.

Presently, the group is offering a helping hand at the St Elizabeth Convent where they are painting the premises.

Other activities planned for the near future are those geared towards raising awareness and funds on World Cancer Day on Saturday, February 4, before departing for La Digue on February 5, where they will be giving a facelift to the home for the elderly citizens over a one-month period.

“As the year has just started, many are willing to support a good cause, and as we wish to do much more this year, we are truly grateful for any kind of support or assistance,” Mr Dogley noted.

Those willing to contribute towards a charitable cause may contact Mr Dogley on 2541516.

The Next Step group was born in 2013 and has over the years contributed towards various causes, organising and participating in clean-ups, fundraising for ill patients and those requiring treatment, and getting involved in voluntary works.
