Renowned Mauritian artists Alain Ramanisum and Laura Beg to perform live at Tamassa restaurant tonight

As part of activities to mark Mauritius’ Independence Day anniversary tomorrow ‒ March 12 ‒ Tamassa restaurant invites fans to its premises tonight for a live show featuring renowned artists Alain Ramanisum and Laura Beg.

Speaking to Seychelles NATION,the director of Tamassa, MatthewChan said the event was long overdue as it was planned for 2020, but had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr Chan explained that being Alain Ramanisum’s personal friend, coupled with the artist’s desire to visit the country, made the decision to choose an artist an easy one.

“We wanted renowned names to come perform, and they are well known artists in Seychelles. And Laura Beg is a powerful singer, so it is like killing two birds with one stone with these two amazing artists,” shared Mr Chan.

Tamassa restaurant said it wants its customers to enjoy the evening with a dinner and a show that will go on into the night. Tickets cost R1,000 or the dinner and show. It has also taken into consideration, their customers who are more enthusiastic for the show only, by offering a lower priced ticket, which excludes dinner, at R300.

Ramanisum started his musical career at the age of 15 with the famous band Cassiya and is remembered for tunes such as ‘Li Tourner’, ‘Separation’ and ‘Rev Nou Ancetres’. The artist has approximately 15 albums under his belt.

For her part, Laura Beg, who has established herself as an international artist, has produced three albums. She has done concerts in Reunion island, Australia and in Europe too.

The couple promisea night to remember.
