STC clarifies CEO’s message in exclusive interview with Seychelles NATION |11 March 2023

The focus of Seychelles Trading Company chief executive Siana Bistoquet’s message in the exclusive interview with the Seychelles NATION newspaper and published on Saturday March 4, 2023, revolved around gradually improving the efficiency of the company.

The Seychelles Trading Company (STC) said this in a statement sent to this newspaper yesterday.

The statement reads: “Although it was mentioned by the CEO, Mrs Siana Bistoquet that the company can easily run by a smaller cohort of employees, the ultimate objective of the message intends to highlight the fact that naturally the numerous staff who are nearing retirement age and thus with trainings of our current existing resources, the company could continue in its functions with prolonged efficiency.

“STC would like to reassure all STC employees that the company sincerely believes in its staff which are the cornerstone of its success as it continues to empower its workforce to be more productive, thus help to lower the cost of the company’s expenses.

“STC takes this opportunity to extend its heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks to all its staff as the company celebrates its 15th anniversary this month.”
