60 children invited to Club Med’s ‘Planetary Luncheon’

Club Med renewed with its annual tradition of the ‘Planetary Luncheon’, an event which is organised every year in June in all the Villages of the hotel group around the world.

Last Saturday, Club Med Seychelles welcomed some 60 students from the NGO Survival Ark Foundation, an association aimed at assisting less fortunate children in the Beau Vallon region.

Surrounded by hotel employees and representatives of NGOs, the children had the chance to enjoy a day of leisure in a relaxed atmosphere: outdoor games, painting and make-up workshops as well as games were organised for the children whose joy could be read on their faces.

They also performed a Green Tour of the hotel by planting trees.

They were then gratified with a tasty luncheon that delighted the young guests of the day before they left the resort in the afternoon filled with memories.

The Village Chief Houcem Mannai was very happy with this event: “All our services have fully invested in offering the children a memorable day! The smiles on the faces of our little guests and my colleagues motivate us to continue the adventure between the Club and its local partners.”

For his part, Andy, a young member of Survival Ark Foundation, was happy to have this opportunity to be able to enjoy the pleasures of the hotel: “It is not every day that we are welcomed and treated in such an extraordinary way as today. For us, it is the warmth of the welcome that makes us happy. And then, being able to play and eat in a hotel is always a bonus.”

Carol Gabriel, Club Med Foundation Representative in the Seychelles, commented: “You have to see the light that sparkles in the children's eyes when they are enjoying this visit at our resort. They are our customers and especially our friends during this special occasion. We are pursuing our community work in the Seychelles because what the Club Med Foundation wants above all is to do it in a humane way with a sense of solidarity and care.”
