Next Step group hosts charity events to assist those in need   |28 July 2023

The Next Step group is hosting a charity event to raise funds for the families whose houses were destroyed in a fire at La Gogue last Friday.

Speaking to Seychelles NATION, the group’s chairperson, Sony Dogley, said they will be hosting a fundraising activity at the Anse Etoile supermarket today and tomorrow, Saturday July 29 from 10am to 6pm.

He is appealing to citizens to come forward and show their support during this time of great need and said all donations, monetary or otherwise, will be presented to the two families.

The fire completely destroyed one unit of a semi-detached house and partly destroyed the second home.

Meanwhile, Next Step has announced that it will be travelling to La Digue next month to carry out voluntary works at the old people’s home as well as take part in the Feast of the Assumption with a charity event to help disabled persons on the island.
