All set for the sixth Seychelles Fashion Week |24 November 2023
Vibrant colours and great designs are expected to grace this year’s Seychelles Fashion Week (SFW) as local and international designers showcase their amazing collections from tonight until December 2.
The shows for this sixth SFW will be on La Digue and Mahé only. The official opening ceremony is to be hosted at Le Domaine de l’Orangeraie.
The chief executive of SFW, Terry Carolla, said with the aim of inspiring young designers to stay in the fashion industry, a workshop will be held on November 27. Youths from the Seychelles National Youth Council and the Seychelles Institute for Art and Design will be taking part in this workshop, which will be held at the National Theatre, Mont Fleuri.
Topics such as branding will be covered by the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the aspects of business start-up by the Enterprise Seychelles Agency and Sister Felas, an international designer from South Africa will also be leading the workshop.
Fina Zialor, one of the local designers taking part in this year’s SFW will be sharing her experiences and encouraging the attendees to continue on their journey in the world of fashion design.
Tickets for the official launch ceremony are available at Cat Cocos offices, online at https://seysells.com/product/seychelles-fashion-week-grand-opening-la-digue/ and also at room 15, Camion Hall. The tickets for this show cost R1800 (VVIP) and R700 (VIP). An exhibition by the designers will be on from 11am-2pm while the official launch will start at 6pm. Guests artists for the evening will be Daniel and Auspitious.
For the second show which will be held at the Nayopi Restaurant, Providence on November 25, tickets will cost R400. It will be available at room 15 Camion Hall, at Nayopi and online at https://seysells.com/product/seychellrs-fashion-week-6th-edition-2nd-show/
The grand final show as well as the SCCI Business Awards for this year will be held at Eden Plaza on December 2. The event will start at 5:30pm and end at 3am and will include dinner, the award ceremony and the fashion show.
