NBS Seychelles conducts labour force survey |30 November 2023

The National Bureau of Statistics Seychelles (NBS) is conducting its Labour Force Survey (LFS) for the fourth quarter of 2023.  

The survey ran from October 23 to November 3. It resumed on November 27 and will go on until December 8. Subsequently, from December 18 to December 29.

The LFS seeks to collect a variety of information which will be consolidated to obtain the size and structure of Seychelles Labour Force, unemployment and employment rates and other market information.

During the survey period, trained data collectors will be visiting all randomly selected households on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. All data collectors and supervisors are working under an oath of secrecy. All information collected will be held as strictly confidential and used for statistical purposes only. Furthermore, all data collectors can be identified by their badges.

The survey is being conducted in accordance with the mandates outlined within the National Bureau of Statistics Act, 2010.
