Business tax amendment approved by National Assembly |05 December 2024

The National Assembly yesterday approved the Business Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2024 which sets out to improve the business environment.

The Bill proposes various changes, namely, amendments to give more clarity on certain provisions in the business tax law, amendments to support the budget announcements concerning tax benefits for the Information Technology (IT) sector, and thirdly, amendments to reinforce existing provisions on transfer pricing.
