A two-day regional workshop focusing on sharing best practices and strengthening legal frameworks and mechanisms for whistle-blower protection is taking place at the Laila Resort, Anse Royale.

The event, organised by the Anti-Corruption Commission of Seychelles (ACCS) in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), is titled ‘Islands of Integrity: Protecting Whistle-blowers in the Indian Ocean’.

In his opening remarks, Vice-President Ahmed Afif noted Seychelles’ 18th global ranking in the 2024 Corruption Perception Index, making it Africa’s least corrupt country.
