Seychelles bow out of competition head high
- Belarus and Portugal top groups

Seychelles yesterday officially exited the Fédération Internationale de Football Association Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 after suffering their third defeat in the group stage, while Belarus and Portugal finish on top of group A and B respectively.
In their third match in group A, Seychelles of head coach Herald Kowlessur lost 2-10 to Japan, to finish at the bottom of the group.
Seychelles kicked off their must-win game against Japan with possession early in the match, but the first good chance of the match fell to Japan who sent it straight into the keeper’s hands. Seychelles looked dangerous in the wings and forged their first chance as Mike Balette launched a ball threateningly at the Japanese goal.
