Creating a self-care routine and becoming the best version of yourself

Sometimes we go through rough seas in life which leave us doubting our worth, feeling low and not having the desire to move forward. In other situations, our busy lives tend to make us put work and family before ourselves, and we end up neglecting our own selves. Then you end up feeling drained and it is only then that you realise you need a change. Out goes the low self-esteem and in comes the determination to indulge in self-care.
When I say self-care, I know a lot of people will instantly think of a day at a spa or a beauty salon, getting the nails and hair done, or even buying a new outfit. Yes, all of the mentioned elements do make one feel super amazing, and they do lift up our spirits, but self-care goes beyond all the above. It is not all about luxury but it is indeed a necessity. The power of self-care is much deeper. It encompasses not just the body, but also the mind and the soul.
