‘One team, one dream’: Using the process as a life lesson

The tough, difficult and challenging process leading up to Seychelles’ successful delivery of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 should be used as a life lesson, and be applied into the everyday activities to ensure good delivery and progress, President Wavel Ramkalawan has said.

The head-of-state made the statement yesterday, during a gathering with members of the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 local organising committee (LOC) at the Roche Caïman multi-purpose hall which housed the committee’s headquarters during the event.

In the presence of chief executive of the LOC, Ian Riley, Sports Minister Marie-Celine Zialor, principal secretary for Youth and Sports Ralph Jean-Louis, and LOC members, President Ramkalawan retraced the journey leading to the event, highlighting the many difficulties encountered.
