Trevor Malvina had not been able to keep pace with the main challengers in previous races, but his moment came last Sunday when he rode to victory in the 48.1km circuit race organised by the l’Union Cycliste des Seychelles.
Finding himself in the leading group, Malvina positioned himself well and sprinted to the finish line in a time of 1 hour 16 minutes 03 seconds (1h16:03) – only four seconds ahead of runner-up Ahmad Arissol (1h16:07).
Jayden Sinon finished third with 1h17:01, only milliseconds ahead of the next five competitors.
The team prize was won by VCDL who have now claimed the most team prizes after what was a rough start to the year.
