Seychelles kicks off process to update NDC
Seychelles has commenced the process to update its Nationally Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement.
To officially launch the critical national process, an inception workshop grouping together some 60 stakeholders was held at the Eden Bleu Hotel yesterday afternoon.
Organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in collaboration with the department of Climate Change and the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Partnership, the workshop grouped together representatives from government ministries, academia, civil society and international partners, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change & Environment, National Planning Department and the Seychelles Climate Change Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT).
