One Voice to file legal case over lack of information after CCCL explosion
The residents’ association One Voice has announced plans to take legal action to obtain critical information related to the explosion at Civil Construction Company Limited (CCCL) on December 7, 2023.
The decision comes after the group decided to halt all negotiations with the government and CCCL earlier this month, stating that their demands are not being met.
At a press conference held yesterday afternoon at the office of their lawyer, Basil Hoareau, association leaders explained their decision. Chairperson Anne-Mary Collet said that One Voice had sent a formal letter to the government, informing them that they are suspending negotiations because the process was not progressing.
