Symbolic foundation stones laid for new housing project on Praslin

Symbolic foundation stones to mark the beginning of the first phase of a new housing project consisting of 16 units were laid yesterday at Amitié on Praslin.
President Wavel Ramkalawan laid the first stone, followed by the Minister for Lands and Housing Billy Rangasamy, the elected member of the National Assembly for the Grand Anse Praslin district, Wavel Woodcock, principal secretary for housing Jude Florentine and the district administrator for Grand Anse Praslin Chantal Laure.
The official commencement date was set for yesterday, and it is a 12-month project, which is expected to be completed on June 30, 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Rangasamy said the project is a major achievement for Praslin as it will benefit 16 families.
