SBS marks World Accreditation Day through awareness session
The National Accreditation Focal Point Office within the Seychelles Bureau of Standards yesterday organised a half-day awareness session for small and medium enterprises, focusing on the role and benefit of accreditation in ensuring the quality and safety in goods and services as well as improving market access.
The event at its headquarters at Standards House, Providence was to commemorate World Accreditation Day (WAD), held under the theme, ‘Accreditation: Empowering small and medium enterprise (SMEs)’. World Accreditation Day celebrated on June 9, is a global initiative established by International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) to raise awareness and highlight the importance of accreditation activities for ensuring quality, safety, and trust in conformity assessment services.
