‘Aspiring Teachers’ programme

Pointe Larue higher secondary school inspires future educators

Pointe Larue higher secondary school took a significant step toward nurturing the next generation of educators by hosting the ‘Aspiring Teachers’ programme on June 5, 2025.

Designed for students passionate about joining the teaching profession, the event offered hands-on training, mentorship, and expert guidance from experienced educators.

Under the leadership of Elizabeth Neba, the programme engaged enthusiastic students eager to explore careers in education. Participants attended specialised workshops and practical training sessions, where seasoned teachers shared insights on effective teaching methodologies, classroom management, and creating inclusive learning environments.

The initiative sought to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with essential skills before they pursue formal training at the Institute of Teacher Education. Adding to the excitement, Global Supply Centre, sponsored by Lacnor, contributed branded T-shirts for the aspiring educators.

The principal of Pointe Larue higher secondary school commended the programme, stating, “This is a golden opportunity for our students to learn from the best and embrace the noble profession of teaching. We hope to inspire more young minds to embark on this rewarding career path.”

The event concluded with participants expressing deep gratitude, calling it a transformative stepping stone toward their future in education. Through initiatives like this, Pointe Larue higher secondary school continues to empower students to become the inspiring educators of tomorrow.
